A large ceramic bank inspired by the Disney Studios animated film "Lady and the Tramp" (1955). Featuring Lady looking perfectly coifed, the bank was created by Monrovia, California potters, Hagen Renaker. They created and sold several figurines based on Disney characters at the Disneyland Resort shortly after the park opened in 1955. According to Walt Disney, they produced "the finest three-dimensional reproductions of (the animated) drawings that he ever saw." Measuring 5.5"x3" and 6" tall, the figurine is in very good condition with imperfections in the glaze and crazing.
