Gravedale High Background Color Key Concept - ID: aprgravedale7721

An original background color key concept from the Hanna Barbera animated series, "Gravedale High" (1990). Featuring a gorgeous rendering of the school gates at dusk, the hand-painted concept was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The concept was used to develop and finalize the color palette, layout of the action, and the overall feel of the scene. When a color concept is finalized during production, it becomes the reference tool that animators use to paint cels and backgrounds, as well as to further progress through the storyboarding and layout of the individual scenes. Measuring 10.5"x17" overall, with each individual image measuring 2.5"x12" and 2.5"x3.5", the concept artwork is in very good condition with minor handling wear and page discoloration.
